Today, United States Marine Corps veteran and fierce advocate for Missouri workers Stephen Webber announced that his campaign for the new and open Senate seat in Boone County raised $100,872 in their second quarter, reaching the mid-year point with over $400,000 raised in their first 6 months. The Webber campaign has proven that they’re backed by strong community support and show no signs of stopping any time soon.

This impressive fundraising haul rounds out a strong second quarter for the campaign, which earned the support of labor unions, an early endorsement from the Pro-Choice organization
Access MO, endorsements from local elected officials including County Commissioner Kip Kendrick, Representative Kathy Steinhoff, City Councilwoman Andrea Waner, former Governor Roger Wilson, former Rep. Martha Stevens, and the support of hundreds of Boone County citizens.

“I’m so grateful for the support of so many local friends and neighbors," Webber said. “As Boone County’s Senator, I will work with anyone to defeat extremism, ensure a quality public education for our kids, restore women's right to choose, keep us safe, and create more economic opportunity for all of our workers, students and small businesses.”

Driving Webber’s fundraising was strong grassroots support coupled with the backing of local labor unions. “Stephen Webber supports working families, so it's no surprise so many people are stepping up to support him,” said
Missouri AFL-CIO President Jake Hummel. “This is only the beginning.” Webber’s second quarter was homegrown, as 74% of his donations were grassroots contributions of less than $200, and 94% of his donations were from Missourians.

Webber raised money into his candidate committee ($76,372) and his affiliated Homefront PAC ($24,500). With his 100K+ fundraising total this quarter, Stephen has officially
raised over 100K in each of the 10 fundraising quarters that he’s spent running for State Senate (2015-2016, 2023).

Access MO, one of the strongest Pro-Choice organizations in Missouri, has made an early endorsement of Stephen Webber for Missouri State Senate District 19 in Boone County. "Stephen Webber is a champion for reproductive healthcare. He supports all Missourians’ freedom to make their own reproductive decisions and have access to birth control, scientifically accurate family planning information and abortion care. Access MO is proud to make an early endorsement and get to work to elect Webber to the Senate." said Board President and co-founder Dana Sandweiss . Access MO board member and former Senator Jill Schupp added "Stephen is committed to the fight to reclaim a woman’s right to choose. Now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned, it is more important than ever that we have leaders in the Missouri Senate who will stand up to anti-choice politicians. That’s why I’m supporting Stephen Webber for Senate.” “I support a woman’s freedom to make her own healthcare decisions.” Webber said. “ Women shouldn’t have to run their personal medical decisions by MAGA politicians before receiving care.” During his 8 years representing Columbia in the Missouri House Webber had a 100% Pro-Choice voting record and co-sponsored legislation supporting reproductive justice. Access MO is a volunteer-run state-wide political action committee, inspired by Jewish values, that provides education about and support to state and local candidates and initiatives in Missouri that embrace and advocate for reproductive freedom and healthcare.
